About Us
Afro Indigenous was started in March 2010. Together, the team has decades of plant and seed experience in the South African and global market. We are united by our values and have a common vision of becoming the largest South African seed bank on the continent.
Afro Indigenous, is a business that is delighted and proud to be part of an industry which supports an eco-friendly environment. “Every seed counts” is our motto and we are excited to be assisting in the preservation of our countries wonderful and diverse plants and animals.
The amazing fauna and flora species in South Africa is the driving force of our passion at Afro Indigenous.
THOSE WHO WORK ALONGSIDE US
We would not be where we are today if it were not for the assistance and involvement of our rural community. They play a vital and integral role in our success. We have set-up projects which acquire the assistance of unemployed and underprivileged persons from rural communities to assist us in collecting and cleaning seed. These jobs provide part-time to full-time employment and many have become entrepreneurs supplying us with seed.
We trust by empowering those in need we are contributing to the education of the less fortunate. Training includes awareness in nature preservation and conservation. We are presently working alongside up to 80 independents in KZN alone.
Our Customers
Thank you to all our customers who have supported us through the last few years and a warm welcome to all new ones. We believe it is important to form a strong communication bond with our customers. Our service extends beyond the “point of sale” and we are available to offer tips regarding germination and treatment of seeds, storage of seeds and logistics of seed. We place large value on our customers and go to great lengths to meet all requests. No matter how large or small, all requests, are considered and fulfilled where possible. What we cannot supply we do our best to source.
