Aloe fosteri is a stemless, usually forms small groups. The stems are up to 20 centimeters long. The pointed leaves form rosettes . The leaf blade is about 40 centimeters long and 8 to 10 centimeters wide. The bright green hazy, indistinct lined leaf surface is covered with obscure, off-white, oval patches which are more or less arranged in transverse bands. The leaf surface is usually not spotted. With slightly bent teeth on the leaf margin are 3 to 4 millimeters long and are 10 to 15 millimeters apart.
